‘Champions of Style’ Event in Delhi to Launch A CommonGoal

New delhi: The Embassy of Italy in New Delhi hosted “Champions of Style,” an event where sports, fashion, creativity, music, and dance intersected to celebrate the collaboration between Italy and India in the fields of fashion and sports. “Tools of friendship and dialogue, but also engines of economic growth, talent exchange and new business opportunities,” Ambassador Antonio Bartoli called them. “Fashion and sports represent two pillars of Italian identity and two universal languages that unite peoples,” he added.

According to Ansa News Agency, the evening was an opportunity to present “A CommonGoal,” the solidarity initiative announced last April during Council Vice President Tajani’s visit. In the first stages of a program that is set to expand, youth team coaches from four Serie A clubs, Inter, Milan, Juventus, and Atalanta, who took turns on stage, will conduct training sessions for coaches and youngsters from disadvantaged backgrounds in the cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, and Hyderabad in the coming day

The event also offered a showcase of sportswear in technical fabric, made in collaboration with Confindustria moda, signed by the most innovative Italian companies in the sector: Cavalleria Toscana, Energia Pura, Eurojersey, Montura, Penn Solutions, Sitip, Vagotex, and Wegal.

An emotional tribute to the universal Italian genius Giorgio Armani, who more than any other has been able to combine fashion and sport, was followed by a video preview of the upcoming Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. The evening ended with spectacular choreography by the acrobatic dance company Liberidi, inspired by fashion and sport, and a performance by Bollywood music icon Mika Singh.
