Italian Families’ Ability to Save at Lowest Level Since 2018

Rome: The proportion of Italian households that are able to save has fallen to 41% this year, down from 46% last year, marking the lowest figure since 2018, as revealed by an Ipsos study conducted for the ACRI banking foundation association. The findings were released on Tuesday in conjunction with World Savings Day.

According to Ansa News Agency, the report highlighted a growing sense of pessimism about the economy among Italian families. This sentiment is contributing to the declining ability to save, which is expected to decrease further over the next 12 months. The study underscores the financial challenges facing Italian households in the current economic climate.
