Hunt Launched for Cogne Cat Serial Killer

Cogne: Italian prosecutors have opened an investigation and animal-rights group AIDAA has offered a 1,000-euro reward for information that helps catch a suspected serial killer of cats in the Aosta Valley town of Cogne.

According to Ansa News Agency, the investigation was initiated following the disappearance of 25 cats from the town center and the Lillaz area between June and the end of July. The bodies of two cats were discovered in plastic bags, while others have vanished without a trace. Notably, the GPS collar of one of the missing cats was found abandoned on a lawn.

AIDAA has announced a 1,000-euro reward for any information leading to the identification and conviction of the individual responsible for these acts. The reward will be given to anyone who provides information that results in a police report and a conviction.

The organization has also taken an additional step by hiring a profiler to develop a ‘psychological identikit’ of the person suspected of these crimes, aiming to assist in the ident
ification and capture of the perpetrator.
