Hungary and Luxembourg Celebrate Strengthened Diplomatic Ties with High-Level Talks

BUDAPEST: Relations between Hungary and Luxembourg have been revitalized through mutual respect, as highlighted during a significant diplomatic meeting between the two nations. Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, emphasized the positive developments following discussions with Luxembourg’s Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel, who visited Budapest for the first time in his ten-year tenure.

Minister Szijjártó and Prime Minister Bettel engaged in discussions focusing on bilateral cooperation and addressing the economic challenges currently facing the European Union.

Minister Szijjártó noted that the relationship between the two countries is once again defined by mutual respect. He cited the impressive fourfold increase in the volume of bilateral trade over the past decade as a testament to the strengthened ties.
Emphasizing shared goals, he expressed support for measures aimed at enhancing the EU’s competitiveness through a rules-based global trade system free from artificial barriers.
