Thousands of Ukrainian Citizens Continue Daily Entry into Hungary
BUDAPEST: The national police headquarters (ORFK) has reported a steady influx of Ukrainian citizens into Hungary, with 5,169 entering through the Ukraine-Hungary border on Thursday. An additional 5,105 Ukrainians crossed into Hungary via Romania, highlighting the ongoing movement of people from Ukraine into neighboring countries.
According to About Hungary, Hungarian authorities issued temporary residence permits, valid for 30 days, to 51 individuals among those entering the country. The continued arrival of Ukrainian citizens underscores the ongoing impact of regional tensions and the challenges faced by neighboring countries in managing the flow of people seeking refuge or transit.
The Hungarian police and immigration officials continue to monitor and facilitate these entries, ensuring that those crossing the border are processed efficiently. The issuance of temporary permits is part of Hungary’s broader response to the situation, offering short-term legal status to those entering from Ukraine.
