Health Ministry Urges Italians to Adhere to Heat Wave Guidelines
Rome: The health ministry on Tuesday reminded Italian citizens to follow recommendations contained in government guidelines aimed at cutting health risks in the current heat wave.
According to Ansa News Agency, the Ministry of Health “renews its invitation to citizens to carefully follow the heat prevention indications, to consult the weather and health bulletins available on the institutional website www.salute.gov.it, and to take care of the most exposed people, such as the elderly, young children, people with chronic diseases and workers exposed to the sun,” underlined the ministry in a note.
With the National Heat Prevention System, active since May 26, the ministry recalls, “monitoring, assistance and communication have been strengthened to protect the most vulnerable population”.
