Green MP Questions Use of Sicilian Air Base by Israeli Military
Rome: Green-Left Alliance (AVS) MP Angelo Bonelli said Wednesday that the Israeli military had used the Sigonella air base in Sicily and called on the government to explain the nature of this mission to Italy.
According to Ansa News Agency, Bonelli demanded immediate explanations from the government regarding the recent activity involving the Israeli military. He noted that three Israeli military aircraft flew over Sicily and landed at the Sigonella military base.
Bonelli highlighted that one of these aircraft, a KC-130H, departed from Nevatim Air Base in Israel at 3:10 p.m. His request for clarification signals a call for transparency on the mission’s purpose and implications.
