Global Flotilla Heading for Gaza After Sicily Rendezvous

Sicily: The Global Sumud Flotilla, which seeks to break the Israeli blockade and deliver aid to Gaza, is currently en route to the Palestinian enclave. This endeavor comes after a successful meeting off the coast of Sicily, where an 18-strong Italian contingent joined forces with 24 boats arriving from Tunisia.

According to Ansa News Agency, the flotilla is expected to be reinforced at sea by six boats from Greece. The mission has faced various challenges, including technical problems and adverse weather conditions, causing a series of delays and setbacks. Despite these obstacles, spokeswoman Maria Elena Delia expressed determination, stating, “We are off, we are not stopping this time.”
