Gaza Deal First Step Towards Middle East Stability, Says Tajani

Rome: The Gaza prisoner-hostage exchange and ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas is being hailed as the first step towards stability in the Middle East, according to Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani. Tajani, who also serves as deputy premier, shared his views on the development Thursday via social media platform X.

According to Ansa News Agency, Tajani emphasized the significance of the peace agreement, describing it as a crucial historical moment. He noted that the ceasefire in Gaza, the release of hostages, and the planned withdrawal of Israeli forces were the main objectives achieved through the negotiations.

Tajani also highlighted the collective effort of the international community in facilitating the agreement. He extended gratitude to the United States, Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey for their strong support, underscoring their vital roles in the process. Tajani stated that the Italian Government also supports the agreement, reaffirming Italy’s commitment to the stabilization of the region.
