Rome: It is fundamental to recover the EU-US relationship, President Sergio Mattarella said Tuesday. “The role of the European Council is crucial at this time when the international community is looking for new balances that guarantee peace and serenity in the world,” said Mattarella when meeting the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa.

According to Ansa News Agency, Mattarella emphasized the importance of rules and cooperation within the international community. He asserted that in the face of a critical global situation, it is imperative for the EU to be a leading force. “To mend a fabric of rules and a situation of stability, an authoritative and prestigious EU capable of being a point of reference in the world is needed,” he stated.
