Fininvest Denies Advanced Talks for Sale of Villa Certosa

Rome: Fininvest, the Berlusconi family holding company, denied on Monday recent media reports suggesting that negotiations with an unnamed wealthy Arab buyer were in advanced stages for the sale of the late Silvio Berlusconi’s luxurious Sardinian residence, Villa Certosa.

According to Ansa News Agency, a spokesperson for Fininvest clarified that while there have been various expressions of interest in the property, no advanced negotiations are currently underway. The spokesperson emphasized that the holding company does not comment on rumors concerning individual buyers.

The denial follows a report by the newspaper ‘La Nuova Sardegna’, which implied that the sale of Berlusconi’s historic summer residence was nearing completion. The property, located in northern Sardinia, boasts a 4,500-square-meter estate, 126 rooms, a 120-hectare park, and an artificial volcano, and overlooks the Gulf of Porto Rotondo.
