F1: Imola Not Included on Provisional 2026 Calendar

Imola: The Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix at Imola has not been included on the provisional 2026 Formula 1 calendar, which was released by organizers on Tuesday. This development leaves the iconic circuit absent from the list of races for that year.

According to Ansa News Agency, the Italian Grand Prix at Monza remains on the calendar and is scheduled to take place from September 4-6. Imola has been a significant venue in recent years, hosting the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix and previously serving as the home of the San Marino Grand Prix from 1981 to 2006.

Imola Mayor Marco Panieri and Emilia-Romagna Governor Michele de Pascale expressed their disappointment over the exclusion. They noted that while the decision was anticipated, it nonetheless brought “sorrow and a sense of bitterness.” They highlighted the region’s recent successes in hosting the event, which has been celebrated by fans for its remarkable attendance and popularity.
