Elderly Man Drowns in Turin, Trapped in Home by Water

Turin: An elderly man drowned in Turin floods Thursday, trapped in his home by the rain-swollen water, local sources said. As extreme weather battered Piedmont, in the afternoon, the 92-year-old man was found lifeless inside his home in Monteu da Po, near Piazza Bava.

According to Ansa News Agency, he was said to have been trapped in his home due to the flooding of part of the town on the Chivassese hill. Initial findings indicate that the man is said to have drowned.
