Elderly Man Dies in Emergency Room of Heat Dehydration

Genoa: An 85-year-old man who was taken to the emergency room at Genoa’s San Martino Hospital for heat-related dehydration and comorbidities, died of heart failure on Wednesday, the latest victim of the extreme heat gripping Italy.

According to Ansa News Agency, the Genoese hospital reported nine admissions for dehydration and dynamics related to high temperatures on Wednesday.

In all cases, these were elderly, frail patients with comorbidities.
