Cycling: UCI Announces 2031 World Championships in Trentino

Trentino: The UCI Congress announced on Thursday the awarding of the 2031 Road and Track World Championships to Trentino. Additionally, the 2029 Cyclocross World Championships have been assigned to Treviso, and the 2030 Marathon World Championships to Val Gardena.

According to Ansa News Agency, this marks a significant event for Italy as the last World Championships held in the country were in Imola in 2020. The new road and track formula introduced by the UCI for 2023 makes the awarding of the championships to Trentino a first.
