Crosetto Urges Global Sumud Flotilla to Consider Alternative Aid Routes

Rome: Defence Minister Guido Crosetto on Tuesday made a final appeal to the Global Sumud Flotilla to accept an alternative to trying to force the Israeli naval blockade and bring aid to Gaza. He emphasized the importance of re-evaluating their current approach to ensure the safe delivery of humanitarian assistance.

According to Ansa News Agency, Crosetto highlighted that the Flotilla’s mission was to deliver aid and draw global attention to the difficulties faced in reaching those in need. He proposed that their objectives could be fulfilled by considering the US plan for Palestine, which he believes could pave the way for peace and humanitarian efforts.

Crosetto further urged the Flotilla to recognize the significance of the situation and consider alternative solutions that have been suggested by various parties, including the Patriarchate of the Catholic Church. He stressed that these alternatives could facilitate the delivery of aid without escalating tensions, thereby achieving the Flotilla’s humanitarian goals.
