Renato Casaro, Renowned Film Poster Designer, Passes Away in Treviso

Treviso: Italy’s world-famous film poster designer Renato Casaro has died in his native Treviso, his family said Tuesday. Casaro, the most famous Italian illustrator of film posters, would have turned 90 on October 26.

According to Ansa News Agency, Casaro had been hospitalized for several days with bronchopneumonia at Treviso hospital, where he died Monday night. His posters made cinema history, with thousands of works for Francis Ford Coppola, Sergio Leone, Quentin Tarantino, Franco Zeffirelli, Claude Lelouch, and many others, collaborating with the most prestigious Hollywood and international production companies.
