‘Champions of Style’ Event in Delhi to Launch A CommonGoal
New delhi: The Embassy of Italy in New Delhi hosted the “Champions of Style” event, where sports, fashion, creativity, music, and dance intersected to celebrate the collaboration between Italy and India in the fields of fashion and sports. Ambassador Antonio Bartoli described these fields as “tools of friendship and dialogue” as well as “engines of economic growth, talent exchange and new business opportunities.”
According to Ansa News Agency, the event was also an opportunity to present “A CommonGoal,” a solidarity initiative announced last April during Council Vice President Tajani’s visit. In the initial stages of this program, youth team coaches from four Serie A clubs-Inter, Milan, Juventus, and Atalanta-will conduct training sessions for coaches and youngsters from disadvantaged backgrounds in Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, and Hyderabad in the coming days.
The event showcased sportswear in technical fabric, crafted in collaboration with Confindustria Moda and signed by innovative Italian companies such as Caval
leria Toscana, Energia Pura, Eurojersey, Montura, Penn Solutions, Sitip, Vagotex, and Wegal.
A tribute to the universal Italian genius Giorgio Armani, known for combining fashion and sport, was followed by a video preview of the upcoming Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. The evening concluded with a performance by the acrobatic dance company Liberidi and an overwhelming act by Bollywood music icon Mika Singh, both inspired by the themes of fashion and sport.
