Case Against Pirelli’s Chinese Shareholder Dismissed
Rome: Proceedings against Pirelli’s Chinese partner have been dismissed, Palazzo Chigi said Monday. “On September 26, 2025, the Government notified China National Tire and Rubber Corp. (CNRC) of the decree dismissing the administrative proceedings relating to the facts and behaviors that occurred between the date of issuance of the Decree (June 16, 2023) and the date of initiation of the sanctioning proceedings (October 31, 2024), not believing that they have prejudiced Pirelli’s management autonomy,” said a statement from the premier’s office at Palazzo Chigi.
According to Ansa News Agency, the government explained that it is maintaining an ongoing and constructive dialogue with the company and its shareholders. The aim is to adapt the company’s instruments to the new regulatory requirements of its reference markets within an appropriate timeframe, ensuring its full competitiveness in all the areas in which it operates.
