4 Teens Arrested in Connection with Attempted Murder of Egyptian Boy
CASERTA: Four teenagers have been arrested for allegedly attempting to murder a boy of Egyptian origin in a violent attack in Castel Volturno, a town north of Naples known for its significant immigrant population. The minors, apprehended by Caserta police, are accused of attacking their foreign peers without apparent motive, culminating in the near-fatal stabbing of the Egyptian victim.
According to Ansa News Agency, the arrests were made following an order from a preliminary investigations judge at the juvenile court of Naples. The Egyptian boy, who was attacked in October in the Villaggio Coppola area of Castel Volturno, suffered 12 stab wounds that resulted in severe injuries to his lung and heart. Emergency medical intervention at a local hospital was required to save his life.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety of immigrant communities in the region. The investigation is ongoing as authorities seek to understand the motives behind the attack.
