2.4 Million Italians Tune in to Watch Fazio’s Interviews with Pope Francis and Cecilia Sala
Rome: Over 2.4 million Italian television viewers, with a peak audience share of 12.1%, tuned in to watch Pope Francis’ exclusive interview with TV talk-show host Fabio Fazio on his show *Che Tempo Che Fa* (CTCF) on the Nove channel on Sunday. The program also featured the first television interview with journalist Cecilia Sala since her release from Iran earlier this month.
According to Ansa News Agency, the TV show, where the pontiff discussed the ceasefire in Gaza and Donald Trump’s potential second mandate as US president, and Sala shared her experience of 21 days in Tehran’s Evin prison, made Nove the second most-watched network of the evening. It followed Rai1, which broadcast the TV show *Mina Settembre 3*, watched by 4.3 million viewers, equivalent to 24.2% of the audience share for the evening.
*Che Tempo Che Fa* had previously achieved a peak share of 14.2%, with 3.4 million viewers, during Fazio’s interview with the pontiff in January last year. Another three million viewers, or 14% of the share, tuned in to watch Fazio speak with influencer Chiara Ferragni in March of the previous year.
