Three Italian Films Achieve Unprecedented Box-Office Success


Rome: Three Italian films have emerged as the top performers at the box office this weekend, marking an unparalleled achievement since 2018. This milestone was confirmed by figures released on Monday.



According to Ansa News Agency, the comedy ‘Io sono la fine del mondo’ (I am the end of the world), featuring Angelo Duro and co-written with Gennaro Nunziante, contributed an additional 2.5 million euros to its total revenue, reaching 5.8 million euros over the past 15 days.



In second place is Roberto Ando’s ‘L’abbaglio’ (The blunder), starring the comedian duo Ficarra and Picone alongside Toni Servillo. The film tells a unique story about the expedition of the Thousand and debuted this weekend with earnings of 1.3 million euros.



Ferzan Ozpetek’s ‘Diamanti’ (Diamonds) secured the third position, adding another million euros to its earnings in its fifth week in theaters, bringing its total revenue to 14 million euros.
