Work-Related Deaths Surge by 8.37% to 205 in Italy’s First Quarter


Rome: Work-related deaths in Italy rose 8.37% to 205 in the first quarter of the year, INAIL said Monday. There were two more workplace accidental deaths reported on Monday.



According to Ansa News Agency, Premier Giorgia Meloni announced that her government is allocating 650 million euros in new funds to enhance workplace health and safety. This initiative was announced ahead of the May Day national holiday last week.



The government will convene with trade unions on May 8 to discuss the critical issue of health and safety in the workplace.
