Caldiero: A forty-year-old man is being investigated for the murder of his partner, a 27-year-old woman found hanged in the shower of their home in Caldiero, in the province of Verona. The discovery took place on Sunday, as judicial sources revealed on Tuesday.
According to Ansa News Agency, it was the man himself who alerted the Carabinieri to the grim discovery. He claims that the woman, identified as Cristina Pugliese, originally from Marina di Gioiosa Ionica in Reggio Calabria, had committed suicide using the shower hose.
The Verona Prosecutor’s Office has now registered the man as a suspect, a move that permits the appointment of consultants to conduct an autopsy. As part of the ongoing investigation, several individuals informed about the case have already been interviewed, and the home has been ordered to be seized for further examination.
