Woman Dies After Liposuction in Private Facility in Rome
Rome: A 62-year-old woman died last week after undergoing liposuction in a private facility in Rome, local sources said Saturday. The woman passed away at the Grassi hospital in Ostia, where she had been in a vegetative coma for a few days following complications from the cosmetic surgery procedure.
According to Ansa News Agency, the pensioner died on March 18, and her body was subsequently transferred to the Tor Vergata hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. The case is currently being investigated by the Carabinieri of Ardea, following a complaint filed by the 62-year-old’s daughter. The complaint is against the doctors who performed the liposuction on March 6 at the private facility in Rome.
