Woman Dead After Terracina Restaurant Roof Caves In
Ayoung: A young woman is dead and around 10 people are injured, three critically, after the roof of a Michelin-star restaurant in the seaside town of Terracina to the south of Rome caved in late on Monday. The victim has been named as Mara Severin, the 31-year-old sommelier of the ‘Essenza’ restaurant in the province of Latina town of Terracina.
According to Ansa News Agency, it is suspected that the collapse of the roof could be linked to strong winds that are part of a wave of violent storms that have hit Italy over the last few days. The critically injured were taken to Terracina’s Fiorini hospital.
Latina prosecutors have impounded the site and launched an investigation.
