Woman, 58, Confesses to Killing Woman, 89, in Trieste
Trieste: A 58-year-old Italian woman with a criminal record for petty theft on Tuesday confessed to killing an 89-year-old Trieste resident after the latter caught her stealing money from her home.
According to Ansa News Agency, Erika Podmenich, from Trieste, told police she had first strangled Isabella Tregnaghi with a scarf and then cut her throat in a fight after she was surprised stealing cash and valuables in Tregnaghi’s house in the northeastern Italian port city.
