Vuelta: Italy’s Pellizzari Wins 17th Stage

Italy: Italy’s Giulio Pellizzari won the 17th stage of the Vuelta a Espana, a 143.2 km ride from O Barco de Valdeorras to Alto de El Morrerdero, on Wednesday.

According to Ansa News Agency, the 22-year-old Italian cyclist finished 16 seconds ahead of Britain’s Tom Pidcock and 18 seconds ahead of Australia’s Jai Hindley. Pellizzari’s victory marks him as the youngest stage winner in the tour of Spain since Tadej Pogacar achieved the feat in 2019.
