Two Stowaways Jump Off Cargo Ship, One Found Dead

Livorno: Two stowaway Tunisian migrants threw themselves overboard after being discovered during a police check on a Danish cargo ship, the Stena Shipper, in the port of Livorno on Thursday, and the lifeless body of one has been recovered, Prefect Giancarlo Dionisi said. He added that the authorities were still searching for the other missing person.

According to Ansa News Agency, after being discovered, the two were reportedly placed in the custody of the ship’s captain, who had locked them inside a cabin.
