Assault Charges Against La Russa Jr Dismissed

Milan: Charges of sexual assault against Leonardo Apache La Russa, son of Senate Speaker Ignazio la Russa, have been dropped, judicial sources said Thursday. The investigation into La Russa Junior and his friend, DJ Tommaso Gilardoni, has also been dismissed.

According to Ansa News Agency, Milan investigating judge Rossana Mongiardo granted the request of Deputy Judge Letizia Mannella and prosecutor Rosaria Stagnaro to dismiss the investigation. The case stemmed from a 22-year-old woman’s complaint of alleged abuse that occurred on the night between May 18 and 19, 2023.

Despite the dismissal of sexual assault charges, the two young men remain charged in the preliminary hearing with revenge porn. The charges relate to two separate incidents of illegal dissemination of sexually explicit images or videos on the same night, which were shared without the young woman’s consent.
