Truck Hits Workers, One Dead and Two Injured

Sinopoli: One worker died and two others were injured after being hit by a truck while they were working on fiber optic cable installation in Calabria on Friday. The accident occurred in Sinopoli, in the Reggio Calabria region, on a downhill stretch of road.

According to Ansa News Agency, initial reports suggest that the truck, owned by the company the workers worked for, suddenly moved, perhaps due to a brake failure. This unexpected movement caused the truck to hit a small construction vehicle, which subsequently collided with the three workers.
