Three Planeloads of Palestinians, Including Injured Boy, Arriving in Italy for Treatment
Rome: Three planeloads of Palestinians from Gaza are scheduled to arrive in Italy on Wednesday. Among the arrivals is Adam al-Najjar, an 11-year-old Palestinian boy whose father, a pediatrician, and nine siblings were killed in an Israeli bombardment of their home in Khan Younis, as announced by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani. Tajani stated that Italy is continuing its efforts to assist injured Gazans.
According to Ansa News Agency, Adam faces the risk of losing the use of an arm due to his injuries. He will be accompanied by his mother, who is also a doctor, along with some other family members. They are part of a group of children from Gaza who are being brought to Italy for medical treatment.
Adam is set to receive medical care at the Niguarda Children’s Hospital in Milan. The regional Welfare department has explained that other injured individuals from the group will be admitted to the Milan Policlinico and the Giovanni XXIII hospital in Bergamo.
