Three Algerian Migrants Detained Upon Return to Sardinia
Cagliari: Three migrants who had been expelled from Italy have now landed on Sardinia, police said after arresting them. The three, aged 21, 25, and 28, all Algerian nationals and subject to return orders, were arrested by officers from the Cagliari Flying Squad for returning to Italy before the period allowed for reentry into the national territory.
According to Ansa News Agency, the foreign citizens, who had reached the coast of southern Sardinia in recent days, had been transferred to the Monastir reception center to undergo identification procedures. It was during this investigation that violations of Italy’s immigration laws were discovered.
