Paris: Italy’s Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori clinched the mixed doubles title at the French Open, defeating the American duo of Taylor Townsend and Evan King with a score of 6-4, 6-2 in the final.

According to Ansa News Agency, this victory marks the second grand slam title for the pair, who previously won the US Open in September. The win was celebrated by Italy’s Premier Giorgia Meloni, who praised the duo’s success and expressed national pride. Meloni shared her congratulations through social media, emphasizing the significance of the triumph for Italy.

Errani is also advancing in the tournament as she competes in the semi-finals of the women’s doubles at Roland Garros alongside her partner Jasmine Paolini.
