Tajani Urges Israel to Halt Civilian Strikes in Gaza

Rome: Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani has called on Israel to cease military operations impacting civilians in Gaza. In a statement made on Wednesday, Tajani emphasized the importance of halting such operations to prevent further civilian casualties.

According to Ansa News Agency, Tajani took to X to urge Israel to open all crossings immediately to allow the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza. He reiterated the Italian government’s stance on seeking a ceasefire and the release of hostages, stating, “The war in Gaza must end.”

Tajani also highlighted the Italian government’s ongoing efforts to support civilians affected by the conflict. He announced the transfer of a new group of 52 Palestinian citizens from Gaza to Jordan, who are relatives of those previously evacuated to Italy for medical reasons. He confirmed that these individuals would soon arrive in Italy on scheduled flights, continuing Italy’s commitment to providing aid and refuge amidst the ongoing crisis.
