Tajani to Brief Parliament on Gaza Situation by End of May

Rome: Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani announced on Tuesday that he would brief parliament on the situation in Gaza by the end of May. In response to a question regarding when he could provide a report to Parliament, Tajani stated, “When there is a calendar of parliamentary work, I will go and answer by the end of the month.” This announcement follows a request from the opposition in the Senate for an urgent briefing from the minister.

According to Ansa News Agency, Tajani made these remarks on the sidelines of a conference on Europe currently taking place in Rome. He reassured that there was no issue with providing the necessary information to Parliament, emphasizing his willingness to engage with parliamentary proceedings. “There is no problem, I have always gone,” he said, urging observers to consider the numerous occasions he has previously addressed Parliament on various matters. He dismissed concerns as “just propaganda,” noting that there are frequent demands for parliamentary reports on various issues.
