Survey Shows Hungary’s Ruling Alliance Maintains Strong Lead Over Opposition

Budapest: Hungary’s ruling alliance, composed of Fidesz and the Christian Democrats, maintains a significant lead over other political parties, according to a new poll by Szazadveg. The survey indicates that the alliance is supported by 40 percent of the voting population, with the closest opposition, the Tisza Party, trailing at 31 percent.

According to About Hungary, the poll revealed that the radical Mi Hazank (Our Homeland) party and the Two-Tailed Dog Party (MKKP) are tied for third place, each securing 6 percent of voter support. Left-wing opposition parties currently fall below the 5 percent threshold required for parliamentary representation. In total, 8 percent of respondents remain undecided.
