Stop Islamisation of Schools, Strip Girls’ Veils – League

Rome: The right-wing League party has prepared a resolution committing the government to stopping the “Islamisation” of Italian schools and stripping the Islamic veil from Muslim girls. The announcement was made during a conference in the Lower House by MEP and deputy secretary of the party, Silvia Sardone, and the group leader in the Lower House School Committee, Rossano Sasso.

According to Ansa News Agency, the resolution calls for “the prior authorization of families” to be obtained for projects on Islam. During the conference, Sardone also spoke about the veil in schools, hoping for “a ban” for girls “to whom it is evidently imposed”. “A common-sense position”, echoed Sasso.
