Stellantis European Car Sales Decline by 3% in May

Milan: Stellantis experienced a 3% decline in car sales across the European market in May, selling 168,839 vehicles compared to 174,131 in the same month the previous year, as reported by the European auto-maker association ACEA.

According to Ansa News Agency, Stellantis’ market share in the European Union, EFTA, and the UK decreased to 15.2% from 15.9% in May of the previous year. This marks a noticeable shift in the company’s market positioning within the region.

ACEA further highlighted that Stellantis sold 859,950 cars in the first five months of 2025, a reduction from the 939,062 units sold in the same timeframe last year. This ongoing trend reflects broader challenges facing the Italian-American-French automotive group in maintaining its market dominance.
