Sorrentino Costume Designer’s Death Not Suicide Say Family

Capri: Prosecutors have opened a new investigation into the death in 2023 of Italian costume designer Luca Canfora after his family filed a complaint saying that they do not believe he committed suicide.

According to Ansa News Agency, the body of Canfora, 51, was found by a group of canoeists in waters off Capri on September 1, 2023. At the time of his death, Canfora was working on “Parthenope,” a film by Oscar-winning Italian director Paolo Sorrentino.

Investigations have summoned Canfora’s brother to discuss the case on February 18.
