Conti Says He’ll Probably Present 2026 Sanremo Too

Sanremo: Veteran TV presenter Carlo Conti announced on Sunday that he is likely to continue as the artistic director of the Sanremo Festival for its 2026 edition. This decision follows the success of the 75th edition of the annual music event under his direction.

According to Ansa News Agency, Conti shared his thoughts at a news conference, stating, “This year was great, the watchword was together. We had fun together, we did it together.” Conti, who has been associated with the festival for several years, expressed his willingness to continue, saying, “Let’s see next year if I get an idea, but I think so.” He revealed that State broadcaster Rai had asked him to remain involved for two more years, and he has accepted this proposal.

Conti elaborated on the complexities of organizing the festival, highlighting that it involves more than just presenting. He emphasized that the roles of artistic direction, and the selection of set, lights, and costumes are integral to the event’s success. Conti, who was born in Florence and is now 63, has previously presented the show in 2015, 2016, and 2017. He returned to helm the event this year after Amadeus, who hails from Ravenna, decided to step down after five successful editions.

Rai Pubblicit  CEO Luca Poggi also reported that the 2025 Sanremo Festival generated a record-breaking 65.258 million euros in advertising revenue for the State broadcaster, marking an 8.5% increase from the previous year’s record.
