Soccer: Juve’s UCL Qualification Hopes Suffer Setback

Turin: Juventus’s hopes of a top-four finish in Serie A to qualify for next season’s Champions League suffered a setback on Wednesday when the Turin giants lost 1-0 at Parma. Mateo Pellegrino headed home the winner at the end of the first half to boost the home side’s hopes of avoiding relegation.

According to Ansa News Agency, Igor Tudor’s Juve are fifth with 59 points with five games to go, one point behind fourth-placed Bologna. Parma are 15th with 31 points, six clear of the relegation zone. Sixth-placed Lazio pulled level on points with Juve by beating Genoa 2-0 away on Wednesday.
