Soccer: Chivu Linked to Inter Bench

Milan: Parma boss Cristian Chivu has been linked to the vacant Inter bench after Como refused to let Cesc Fabregas leave and take over the Nerazzurri, sources said Thursday. Romanian former Inter Triplete hero Chivu, 44, is considered a strong candidate to take over from Simone Inzaghi, who has departed for a lucrative deal with Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal.

According to Ansa News Agency, another potential candidate for the Inter managerial position is France legend and Genoa manager Patrick Vieira, 48. Both Chivu and Vieira are being considered as replacements for Inzaghi as the club looks to fill the managerial vacancy.
