Soccer: Ancelotti Will Do Well with Brazil Says Falcao

Rio de Janeiro: Carlo Ancelotti will do well as Brazil coach, Brazil and Roma legend Paulo Roberto Falcao, a friend of the former Roma and Milan midfielder who has become the world’s most successful club coach, said on Tuesday.

According to Ansa News Agency, Ancelotti is leaving Real Madrid to coach the Selecao until the next World Cup at least, on a rumoured contract of 10 million euro a year plus a five million bonus if the Verde Oro win the World Cup.

Falcao expressed his approval, stating, “I like it, I’m happy he’s coming here. The Selecao will benefit and so will he.” Falcao, the former ‘Eighth King of Rome’ who won the scudetto in 1983, shared these thoughts in an interview with the Brazilian sports website Band.

Falcao fully supported the Brazilian Football Federation’s decision to hire Ancelotti. He described Ancelotti as a person of uncommon simplicity and humility for a coach of his stature, and he praised Ancelotti’s ability to manage problems, referencing his handling of issues with Deco during his time at Chelsea.
