Treviso: Seven young people were trapped by surging rain-swollen waters Monday on an islet in the Piave River where an 18-year-old youth drowned on June 18. Two helicopters are flying over the spot near Treviso and preparing to winch the youths to safety, rescue services said.

According to Ansa News Agency, the young individuals found themselves stranded as the river’s water levels rose rapidly, cutting off their escape routes. Rescue efforts are underway to ensure their safe evacuation, with helicopters playing a crucial role in the operation. The situation has drawn attention to the dangers posed by unpredictable weather conditions in the region.
