Serie A Title Race Intensifies as Napoli and Inter Draw

Naples: The Serie A title race will extend to next weekend’s final round of fixtures following draws from both leaders Napoli and second-placed Inter on Sunday.

According to Ansa News Agency, Antonio Conte’s Napoli faced a goalless stalemate against relegation-threatened Parma. Despite the draw, Napoli maintain a slim one-point advantage over defending champions Inter. Meanwhile, at San Siro, Inter managed a 2-2 draw with Lazio. Inter appeared poised to overtake Napoli at the top of the standings with goals from Yann Bisseck and Denzel Dumfries. However, Lazio’s veteran forward Pedro responded with two goals, including a crucial penalty in the closing moments.

In another development, Atalanta secured a 3-2 victory against Genoa on Saturday, ensuring their third-place finish in the league. Juventus, aiming for Italy’s final Champions League spot, solidified their hold on fourth place by defeating Udinese 2-0 in Turin. They are currently one point ahead of AS Roma, who triumphed over AC Milan with a 3-1 win.
Lazio trails closely behind in sixth place, just one point adrift of Roma.
