Russell Crowe Reflects on Armani Relationship Sparked by Lost Suitcase
Paris: Hollywood star Russell Crowe has revealed that his enduring relationship with the renowned fashion designer Giorgio Armani began unexpectedly due to a lost suitcase. This revelation comes in the wake of Armani’s passing at the age of 91, on Thursday.
According to Ansa News Agency, Crowe recounted the story on social media, recalling an incident from 1997 at the Cannes Film Festival. During that time, while promoting the film “L.A. Confidential,” Crowe faced a predicament when his suitcase was lost en route to the event. Producer Arnon Milchan stepped in and directed Crowe to the Armani store with a credit card, instructing him to purchase a suit for the premiere. This chance encounter marked the beginning of Crowe’s lasting appreciation and connection with Armani’s clothing.
Crowe expressed that this initial experience with Armani’s fashion sparked a “love affair” with the designer’s clothes that has persisted through the years. The Gladiator star fondly remembered Armani in his post, highlighting the significant impact the designer had on his life and career.
