Roman Man Arrested for Stashing 66 kg of Cocaine in Garage
Rome: A 35-year-old man from Rome was apprehended by authorities in the Italian capital after police discovered 66 kilograms of cocaine hidden in his garage.
According to Ansa News Agency, the suspect, who was already known to law enforcement, is now facing serious charges, including illegal possession of narcotics, illegal possession of unlicensed weapons with removed serial numbers, and receiving stolen goods. In addition to the 66 kilograms of cocaine, authorities also found one kilogram of pink cocaine at the scene.
The police operation also led to the seizure of two pistols and additional ammunition. The man had installed video surveillance to monitor the garage where the drugs were stored, indicating a high level of caution in his illegal activities.
