5 Arrested, 2 Cited for Milan Gaza Violence

Milan: Five people have been arrested and two others cited following clashes with police during a march in support of Gaza in Milan on Monday, where approximately 60 officers sustained injuries, judicial sources reported Tuesday.

According to Ansa News Agency, among those arrested are two minors, a boy and a girl, both aged 17. Additionally, one of the individuals cited by authorities is also a minor. An eighth person involved in the incident has been taken to a police station for identification purposes.

The violence erupted when a group of demonstrators at Milan’s central railway station began throwing rocks and other objects at police officers and vandalized the glass front of the station. The aggressive actions have drawn widespread condemnation from various quarters.
