Milan: Three Roma minors involved in a fatal car incident that resulted in the death of a 71-year-old woman in Milan have been removed from their families in a Roma camp, officials confirmed on Thursday. The minors, aged 12 and 13, were among four individuals in the vehicle driven by one of them when the tragic accident occurred on a Milan street.

According to Ansa News Agency, authorities are currently searching for the fourth minor, who has evaded capture. The incident has sparked political tensions, with Deputy Premier and Transport Minister Matteo Salvini, leader of the anti-migrant League party, calling for the demolition of the Roma camp. This demand is part of a series of similar calls from the right-wing leader.

In contrast, Milan’s centre-left Mayor Giuseppe Sala has urged politicians to avoid turning the incident into a political issue. The mayor’s appeal comes amid growing concerns over the politicization of similar incidents, as debates over migration and integration continue to dominate the Italian political landscape.
